So last night I went to see Of Montreal at Avalon. Unfortunately we were forced to watch the performance by Grand Buffet before Of Montreal hit the stage. What a bunch of wankers. I've never seen Of Montreal live before (I know...) and wow, that was weird. Awesome, but weird. There were giant lobster claws and cross-dressing. And some guy in a white spandex bodysuit who did his own special seductive fruit performance with an apple and some bananas. I don't think the band really warmed up to the crowd until the very end of the show which was kind of disappointing. Kevin Barnes seemed to be off in his own world most of the time. They ended with a cover of the Fiery Furnaces Tropical-Iceland and it was awesome.

Tonight was poetry night on New Frontiers because, why not? A poem is like a song. But without music. You know.
